Monday, November 18 - A reception was held in Lafferty Hall to honor Associate Professor Sarah Lyon being named the next editor for the Society for Applied Anthropology's premier journal "Human Organization." Jennifer Wies (a graduate of the Department of Anthropology at UK; associate professor in the Department of Anthropology, Sociology, and Social Work at EKU; and member of the Executive Board of the Society for Applied Anthropology or SfAA), and John van Willigen (professor emeritus in the Department of Anthropology at UK and representative of the SfAA) were on hand to present. Copies of the original two issues (1941 and 1942) were on display. Lyon will begin the editorship in January 2015. photos by Brian Connors Manke
